NEW TESTAMENT

 

The New Testament is the second major part of the Christian biblical canon.  It consists of 27 books written by apostles and early Christians under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.  The New Testament contains the inerrant teachings and person of Jesus, as well as events in first-century Christianity.

Matthew:

John:

Ephesians:

By Grace is salvation through faith and not “works”

Philippians:

The joy and confidence in living for Christ

Colossians:

The fullness of life in Christ

1 Thessalonians:

A life that pleases God and the Lord’s 2nd coming

2 Thessalonians:

The judgement and appearance of Anti-Christ

​

1 Timothy:

Leadership, ministry, and church worship

​

2 Timothy:

Loyal followers of Christ will be persecuted

Titus:

Sound doctrine and Christian conduct for the Church

Philemon:

Forgiveness and restoration for a brother is Christ

Hebrews:

The superiority of Christ as High Priest

James:

Genuine faith as proof by good works

1 Peter:

Holy Living and suffering for Christ

2 Peter:

Warning against False Teachers and the promise of the Lord’s coming

1 John:

Fellowship with God, love for one another, and assurance of heaven

2 John:

A warning against false teachers

3 John:

Christian hospitality for teachers of the truth

Jude:

Contending for the faith and end time apostasy

Revelation:

Message to the Church, the 2nd coming of Jesus, and final judgement of man
